The formerly nimble Nadia, now a broody Puffmeister! She's Puffy the hen until the broodiness passes, hopefully soon. And one more excerpt, lol. I considered putting up an excerpt earlier this week, but didn't. This morning, reading over yesterday's writing, well, it's time. Sometimes following the Spirit is like that, just gotta keep moving forward in love. Anyway, if you feel like looking for backstory on what's going on, first read Far Away from Home , then Home and Far Away . While these novels are Parts Three and Four of The Enran Chronicles , I wrote them more as their own little duo with no need, unless you're truly curious, to read Parts One and Two . Not that I wish to dissuade you from my novels , merely that The Enran Chronicles is an interesting series, so far written that if someone only wants to dabble in it, they can read two books, then decide how far they wish to go. And I'll also say this; if you read Three and Four , well, definitely ch...

Allow your heart to rest in love

One of the barnevelders, probably Nadia, finally stepping into the coop for bedtime. 30 June, 2026, photo courtesy of my husband. I was going to post an excerpt yesterday, but instead the better angel of my nature stepped in, insert smiley face here. Yet this morning it is again sunny, chickens have been fed, and despite usually not coming off the wall until the light is on, as I stepped into the coop, three hens were already down, waiting to go outside. I exited, walked away, then remembered to turn on the light for the rest, hehehe. Anyways, all of this is to say here's an early morning post of much of yesterday's chapter. Greg is learning to trust, and Careen? She's still very much a work in progress, but then aren't we all? Insert another smiley face please. Have a wonderful day! Chapter 11   On New Year’s Eve afternoon Greg and...

The sunset at Samoa Beach from a few days ago.... Yesterday morning I sat down to write. Which meant first I read over the previous chapter, which took about fifteen or twenty minutes. Maybe fifteen. I had written perhaps two paragraphs, then my computer and monitor died. For seconds I inwardly shrieked. Going to my feet, I turned on the light, which worked. Which was even more frightening; what the heck was wrong? I called for my husband, who is a superhero; he noticed I had inadvertently with my shoe unplugged the power strip my computer and monition are both plugged into. DUDE! The computer turned on fine, my document saved, though not completely. A few sentences from that day's writing were all to remain before the document self-saved everything. For another few seconds I was.... Not terrified, merely slightly downcast. Yet I was also greatly appreciative that everything in the previous chapter I had altered was SAFE. No idea what I had changed, but those changes weren't af...
