What DID I do today???

From summer 2023.

I'm not worried about my nation and Israel attacking Iran. Which is weird but good, in the weird but good category. Yet I spent far more time than usual on my computer reading articles and Wiki pages about the unauthorized bombing, at least America's Congress didn't approve it. I didn't get much sewing done, or any truthfully. I did trash a lot of old photos off my phone, like Cornflower Quilt blocks from three years ago and landscape shots that I don't truly need and videos of deer locking horns, battling for supremacy.

Is that what's happening in the Middle East, just some bucks, not young certainly, butting heads trying to prove who has bragging rights in the forest?

I don't even know! 

I did do my back stretches, including the clamshells and leg lifts!

Did four loads of laundry, ahem.

Helped one chicken find her sisters. The other crying hen walked away despite sisters arriving, whatever!

I found the beautiful photo at the top of this post, sent it to myself, and will make copies of it the next time I need photos for homemade cards.

Prayed for peace, and various other necessities.

Washed some dishes, cleaned my loo, put away some of the clean clothes, but more laundry occurs tomorrow, so I'll put it all away, or what my husband doesn't get to, tomorrow.

Drank a lot of herbal tea despite it not being cold outside.

Was grateful I don't have to explain to small or even older kids all that's happening on our planet right now. Yup, was seriously glad to be past raising children.

But again, I'm not fearing what might occur. My faith keeps me safe from undue fretting. Take that for what you will. I'm taking it as a great big GIFT from God, thank you very much.

And that's been my Sunday, the first of March. Wishing you peace wherever you are.

  A hunk from my Lavender EPP quilt, currently in progress. Around the first of March, I took an early Lenten sabbatical from Bluesky Social. My account with that form of social media is only from last November, after the election. I didn't abandon a Twitter handle for it, as that type of social media had never been my preferred method of outreach. As you can imagine, I like a LONG manner in which to share my thoughts, smiley face inserted HERE. Yet I was happy to create the account, and enjoyed the camaraderie I met. Hmm, I guess this is how life is now; dark, cramped, alone. Yes, imagine you are Owl Chicken; one moment you're trying to get comfortable for sleep, then next you're shoved aside, falling down a sharp drop into darkness. Utter darkness. Solitary darkness, although you can hear peeps and tiny clucks above you. The rest of the flock is above you, but now your world is altered. Is that how those abducted by ICE feel in detention centers? Snatched from their lives, they languish in facilities where their humanity is devalued by deplorable living conditions. Or how trans veterans are being forced into retirement and denied full benefits after loyally serving this nation.
